This is a small study of the reflection and absorption of colors from light.
Cylinders with a black or a white interior show the influence of reflection and absorption on parts of the electromagnetic (light) field.
The cylinders of the white artwork are black inside, those of the black artwork are white. In both artworks, the same colors are used in the background of the cylinders. The colors in the cylinders with white inside reflect much more color than the colors in the cylinders with black inside. In the black cylinders, much of the color from the incoming light is absorbed by the black of the inside wall.
