The Dutch landscape is dominated by mostly large farms.
These companies leave their mark on the landscape and surrounding nature. Every restriction leads to fierce emotions in Dutch society. Which is more important? The scarce nature or the business operations of the many sizeable family farms and their associated industrial complexes. Discussions about restriction or change often do not contain proper reasoning to continue this unrestrained.
Gradually there are more and more farmers who do have more consideration for nature and animal welfare.
